Including accidental damage, dents, bent keys, loose joints, broken springs etc.

WOODWIND

Check over - Test for leaks, re-seat pads, regulate action & lubricate without dismantling.

Service - Complete strip down, clean body & key work, attend to springs & corks, re-seat pads, re-assemble, regulate action and lubricate.

Re-pad - As for service but with additional replacement of all pads.

Overhaul - As for service and re-pad but with additional replacement of all springs, corks and felts. Removal of excess wear in key work.

BRASS

Service - Strip and clean throughout, replace springs & felts, water key cork. Lubricate & polish. All other brass repairs are charged by the hour plus parts.

Emergency repairs are undertaken depending on available workshop time and priced at £25 per hour plus parts.

Guide Prices

All prices quoted are guide prices, are subject to change and may vary depending on condition, make and model of instrument. Any soldering work may discolour the lacquer or silver finish. Such discolouration will be kept at the minimum necessary to ensure a sound repair.

Instruments are assessed on arrival to the workshop when a more accurate cost of repair can be given.

Additional repairs can be carried out on all woodwind and brass instruments – please enquire for prices. If we cannot undertake a repair, as a member of NAMIR, we know someone else who can.

N.B. We may refuse to work on some instruments due to poor quality of manufacture.
